Juliana Romão

Um pouco de história


Iniciou-se no mundo do desenho e pintura ainda quando criança, mais precisamente aos 7 anos de idade, quando reproduzia em tamanhos gigantescos personagens dos gibis da “Turma da Mônica” do cartunista Maurício de Souza, personagens da Disney e também Mangás.

Nascida em Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, possui graduação em Desenho Industrial pela Escola de Belas Artes – UFBA/Brasil. Antes disso, devido ao seu interesse e prática pelo desenho demonstrados desde criança, aos 14 anos seus pais a matricularam em um curso Iniciação em pintura acrílica do curso de extensão do Colégio Estadual do Paraná, em Curitiba, também no Brasil, e foi lá que seus primeiros conhecimentos sobre perspectiva, proporção, luz e sombra, forma e cor foram desenvolvidos. Desde aí,  motivada pela paixão pelo desenho e também por curiosidade , dedicou-se a um longo processo de aprendizagem e evolução na área do Desenho, levando-a a completar um Mestrado em Desenho: Criação, Produção e Difusão pela Escola de Belas Artes da UGR/Espanha e Certificação em Ux/Ui Design pela LSD Lisbon.

Juliana gosta de natureza, viajar e dançar. Está sempre com um lápis, papel, ou um livro na bolsa porque acredita que pode precisar anotar algo (á mão). Ela gosta de aprender coisas novas e acredita que tem facilidade para isso. Pensa rápido, desde criança ela disse, “-meu pai sempre dizia : - Respira e fala devagar. “- Eu vejo tudo como desenho e formas, por isso simplifico, por isso, meu pensamento é acelerado e por isso que coisas ao meu redor podem ter outro significado forma e cor.


A bit of history
Drawing entered her life when she was only 7 years old, whilst she was reproducing giant-sized characters from the “Turma da Mônica” comics of the cartoonist Maurício de Souza, Disney characters and Manga.

Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, Juliana graduated in Industrial Design in Fine Arts School from the Federal University of Bahia. But long before that, driven by her interest and practice in Design since she was a child, at 14 years old she studied acrylic painting on the Introduction to Painting Course at the Colégio Estadual do Paraná, in Curitiba, also in Brazil, where was able to develop her first knowledges of perspective, proportion, light and shadow, form and color. Since then, driven by restlessness, passion and curiosity, she has dedicated herself to a long process of learning and evolution in the field of Design, which led her to complete a master's degree in Drawing in Spain  and get a UX/UI Design certification in Lisbon .

Juliana loves nature, travelling, dancing and laughing. She always has a pencil, paper or book in her bag because she believes she might need to write something down. She likes to learn new things and thinks she can do it easily. She thinks quickly, since she was a child her father used to say: “breathe and speak slow". She sees everything as drawing and shapes, that's why she simplifies, that's why her thinking is accelerated and that's why things around her can have a different meaning, shape and color.
